Study title: Perspectives of General Practice Nurses of caring for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse patients
Dear INMO colleagues,
I hope you are well. I wanted to let you know about a national research study we are doing at the Department of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Limerick, that is looking at current practices in relation to working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities across Ireland. There is a lack of data about how General Practice Nurses support these individuals and how General Practice Nurses are supported to do this, for example, through cultural competence training. Our study aims to explore the perspectives of General Practice Nurses in Ireland of caring for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) patients. We hope to administer a national online co-designed survey to General Practice Nurses in Ireland, to examine how General Practice Nurses make sense, enact and receive support in delivering culturally responsive care to CALD populations. Closing Date for survey 31st January 2022.
We would be very grateful for your support in circulating the information in relation to this survey to other General Practice Nurse networks please.
Many thanks
Kathleen
